The Global Healing Foundation recently hosted an evening with BRAC

Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee or Building Resources Across Communities (BRAC), the largest non-profit in the developing world, was launched in Bangladesh in 1972 and today reaches more than 110 million people in Africa and Asia with its programs addressing poverty by providing micro-loans, self-employment opportunities, health services, education and legal and human rights education.

Allan and Clare Rosenfield have long been ardent supporters of BRAC and their vision to improve the well being of the poorest people in Africa and Asia, particularly of women and children. Allan dedicated his time and energy to launch BRAC USA in 2007, in spite of his deteriorating health. Allan found BRAC’s record in advancing the frontiers of health, education and microfinance astounding.
